Friends of the Soko Fund, US

"Friends of the Soko Fund US works primarily through The Soko Fund, a pioneer in enabling talented women from poor backgrounds to obtain a university education and thereby improve both their own lives and the societies in which they live.  The principal means of doing this is by a nation wide scholarship scheme for women that works with Malawi's three public universities."

GAIA at Trinity

Our program is open to graduating seniors and young alumni from any accredited college or university in the U.S. Our Fellows have helped improve education and public health, source fresh water and alternative energy, increase family incomes, and so much more."

Science Initiative Group at IAS

"The Science Initiative Group at the Institute for Advanced Study is home to RISE, the Regional Initiative in Science and Education. RISE supports African PhD and MSc students in science and engineering at university-based research and training networks in sub-Saharan Africa. Its primary purpose is to strengthen science research and education in sub-Saharan Africa by increasing the population of qualified academic staff in the region’s universities. RISE has a broader goal of building capacity in science, technology and innovation to stimulate economic development in sub-Saharan Africa."
